At the beginning of April 2016 Peter Verdi's Magnetic Scrolls Chronicles website went offline. So far all my attempts to contact Peter failed. His site carried some invaluable interviews with former Magnetic Scrolls people. To preserve the work I temporarily uploaded a dump of his site taken in summer of 2015. All you can see below is 100% Peter's work! Hopefully his site will reappear soon! Peter, if you read this, can you contact me?

News Update - May 14, 2008

Fellow Kerovnians!

It's update time at the Magnetic Scrolls Chronicles. With this update I am pleased to announce that the "Wonderland" section has gone online in its entirity. On there you'll find, as usual, tons of information about and around the game, so head over to the "Wonderland" section and start reading. I hope you enjoy the update!

News Update 2 - May 11, 2008

Fellow Kerovnians!

Yes, dear readers - this time it's two updates in one day, but don't get used to it - this is merely an exception. This time it's the "Articles" section of the pages to which I have added an article called "The Kingdom Of Kerovnia", which deals with ... yes, you guessed it. It's an amusing piece of background info on Kerovnia taken straight from the "Encyclopedia Kerovnica". Have fun reading!

In other news I updated the "About" page.

News Update - May 11, 2008

Fellow Kerovnians!

Like I promised in the last update I have now also tweaked the layouts of the reviews/articles in the "Text"-sections of "Corruption", "Fish!" and "Myth". In addition to that I also added Mike Gerrard's "Your Sinclair" review of "Corruption" to the "Text"-Section of the game.

News Update - May 10, 2008

Fellow Kerovnians!

This one's not much of an update content-wise, but I tweaked the layouts of the reviews/articles in the "Text"-sections of "The Pawn", "The Guild of Thieves" and "Jinxter" and also added a few screenshots to the reviews. The reviews now look a lot more like the original articles from the magazines they appeared in originally. I will also tweak the remaining articles in the game-specific sections of "Corruption", "Fish!" and "Myth" shortly.

Fellow Kerovnians!

Another update is online. If you want to find out more about Magnetic Scrolls' game "Myth", head to the "Myth" section of the Magnetic Scrolls Chronicles. Special thanks must go to Stefan Meier of the Magnetic Scrolls Memorial for providing me with the cover scans and the goodies for the game.

Enjoy the update!

News Update - May 5, 2008

Fellow Kerovnians!

This is the first update to the "Articles" section. Mike Gerrard, long-time contributor to such iconic magazines like "Your Sinclair" or "Atari ST User" has given his kind permission to use his article "The Arts That Spell Adventure" on the Magnetic Scrolls Chronicles webpages. The article was first published in the "Atari ST User" magazine in their March issue 1988, deals mostly with the pictures for the Magnetic Scrolls games and features an interview with legendary Magnetic Scrolls graphics artist Geoffrey Quilley. It makes for very interesting reading and I highly recommend it to you.

A huge "Thank You" goes out to Mike Gerrard for letting me use his article, which can be found here.

Happy reading!

Comments and suggestions are, like always, more than welcome.

News Update - April 23, 2008

Fellow Kerovnians!

I have just finished another update - this time it's "The Guild Of Thieves". You can now access all the sections of the "The Guild Of Thieves" pages where, as with the "The Pawn" pages, you'll find lots of content like general information, box scans, goodies, a walkthrough, lots of screenshots, reviews, previews, trivia, etc. Just head over there, see for yourselves and let me know what you think about the update.

I also added a few things to the "The Pawn Files" section, namely to the trivia page.

More updates are already in the works.

News Update - April 20, 2008

Fellow Kerovnians!

I just wanted to let everyone know that "The Pawn" section is online in its entirety. You can now access all the sections of the "The Pawn" pages where you'll find lots of content, both old and new. The content ranges from general information about "The Pawn" to box scans, goodies, walkthroughs, screenshots, reviews, etc. - but why am I telling you all this? Follow this link and find out for yourselves.

The obligatory "Thank You" must go out again to Stefan Meier of Magnetic Scrolls Memorial fame, who was a huge help with ironing out some bugs on the website.

In other news this article has just hit the interactive fiction world with all its power. Read for yourselves and make up your own minds ....

Until the next update!

News Update - April 19, 2008

Fellow Kerovnians!

Welcome to the new Magnetic Scrolls Chronicles! After the website went offline in 2004 I recently decided, after four long years, to give the old Magnetic Scrolls Chronicles a relaunch, complete with new and fresh content, its own URL and a minor facelift. Those who were familiar with the old pages will be relieved to hear that, in addition to some brand new and exciting stuff, all the old content will be carried over to the new website. Also most of the old scans will gradually be replaced with fresh ones. Unfortunately not all of the sections are online yet, but I will be making frequent updates, so the Magnetic Scrolls Chronicles website will soon be fully online again in all its glory.

Well, what's online then? So far you can access the News, the News Archive, the Articles, the Links, all of the main pages for the individual games, the Magnetic Interpreter section, the Message Board and, last not least, the Guestbook (which I humbly invite you to sign). Please use the nav-bar on the left-hand side of the page to access these sections of the Magnetic Scrolls Chronicles. All the remaining sections are still under construction and will be added, one by one, to the Chronicles within the next few weeks.

In the meantime I invite you to explore the pages, get accustomed to the new design, sign the Guestbook and discuss everything Magnetic Scrolls- and Magnetic Scrolls Chronicles-related on the message board. Suggestions, etc. are of course always welcome. If you experience any problems whatsoever with the pages, write about it on the aforementioned message board or send me an e-mail.

A huge thank you must go out to Stefan Meier for his great support and for letting me use many of his files from his Magnetic Scrolls Memorial pages. Thank you Stefan! Your help and support are greatly appreciated.
